The Product in Brief:

✓ Red Vermouth

✓ Based on Friulian Verduzzo passito wine

✓ Alcohol content: 18° vol

✓ Antique amber color

Red vermouth made from Verduzzo Friulano wine.
The herbs are macerated both in Verduzzo Friulano wine and in a hydroalcoholic solution, in order to extract the aromatic and bitter components in a selective manner.
The varietal component of the base wine is decidedly dominant.

Thanks to the aromas of bitter orange, Roman wormwood, oregano, clary sage, satureja, cinnamon sticks and cinchona, after resting in the Verduzzo passito, it releases hints of bitter citrus with balsamic traits, notes of spices and sweet woods with hints of caramel and almond.
Old amber color, very pleasant before or after meals, served with 2 ice cubes and a slice of orange.

Friulian cuisine is based on fresh, wholesome ingredients, often sourced locally. The region is renowned for its cured meats, such as prosciutto di San Daniele and prosciutto di Sauris, both made from selected pigs and carefully cured to create a rich, delicate flavour. Other typical cured meats include pancetta, salami and cotechino, which are prepared using traditional methods passed down through the generations.

The Friuli Venezia Giulia region is also famous for its cheeses. Montasio is one of the most well-known, a semi-cooked cheese made with cow's milk, with an intense and aromatic flavor. Not to be forgotten is Jamar, a raw and semi-raw cheese with a soft and enveloping flavor.

As for first courses, Friuli Venezia Giulia offers specialties such as cjarsons, a kind of ravioli filled with a mix of sweet and savory, made of aromatic herbs, cheese, dried fruit and spices. Another typical dish is frico, a sort of potato and cheese omelette, often enriched with ham or spices.

The Producer

The Mulino di Zoppola is an enchanting place in the picturesque village of Zoppola, in the province of Pordenone.

Its story came to life in 2013, when Daniele Lecinni, a passionate restaurateur from Pordenone, decided to bring this ancient mill back to life and create something unique.

In 2018, Il Mulino di Zoppola opens its doors as an authentic tavern, offering its guests delicious meat and fish dishes. But there is an element missing, a void in the heart of this place. During the aperitif or after dinner, people always wonder

What gin do you have? And the vermouth? Make me a special cocktail, I would like something bitter but not too bitter.

The vast selection of liquors available on the market leaves everyone a little confused. Daniele knows that the time has come to make a difference.

Thus, with passion and mastery, Daniele brings Risorgimento 5 liqueurs to life. Using grain distillate, juniper berries, botanicals, passito wine, leaves and aromas, herbs and macerated medicinal plants, he creates his gin, vermouth, aperitif and bitter.

Each liqueur is produced in-house, blended and refined with the help of skilled craftsmen, as if they were sediments of memories of the past combined with a contemporary taste. But Daniele wants his liqueurs to be more than just drinks. He wants them to tell a story.

Thus, the choice of amber bottles that, like caskets, protect the treasures inside. The labels recall ancient spice shops, evoking the scents of herbs and spices that were hidden inside. But there is more.

Each bottle bears the name "Risorgimento", a tribute to the address of the Mill, via Risorgimento, 5. It is a tribute to the period in which the most famous Italian liqueurs had seen the light. The Risorgimento 5 collection is a perfect combination of tradition and innovation. The bottles are produced by a Spanish glassworks specializing in recycled glass, recalling the ancient beauty of pharmacy vials. The caps are made of recycled wood, a touch of authenticity and sustainability.

Each Risorgimento 5 liqueur is a masterpiece in its own right. The Vermouth, with local Verduzzo passito wine and botanicals such as bitter orange, Roman wormwood, oregano, clary sage, mountain savory, cinnamon and cinchona, is an ancient amber-colored elixir with floral and balsamic scents. Notes of spice, vanilla and almond dance delicately on the palate, creating a complexity of flavors that envelops the senses.

The Aperitivo, on the other hand, presents itself as a real bitter. Its bright red color captures the attention, while the nose is pervaded by an intense citrus and balsamic aroma, with a distinctive note of cardamom.

At the first sip, the Aperitivo reveals itself to be round and enveloping, but the finish is surprisingly bitter, taking the palate on a journey of flavours.

Amaro, inspired by the Friulian tradition of grappa-based bitters, is a real delight. Enriched by the presence of mandarin and rhubarb, this liqueur transmits a herbaceous and citrus sensation, with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste that tickles the palate.

Finally, Juniper, a 40-proof compound gin, stands out for its direct citrus intensity. Bergamot and coriander create a unique taste profile, giving the gin a strong and refined character. An explosion of flavors that is fully revealed in a gin and tonic, enhancing the aroma and leaving an indelible mark.

Today, Il Mulino di Zoppola produces around 8,000 bottles of Risorgimento 5 liqueurs, continuing the tradition of craftsmanship and passion that began with the renovation of the mill. The Liquoreria Risorgimento 5 has become a true point of reference for lovers of mixology and for those who wish to savor authentic and high-quality liqueurs.

Every sip of a cocktail prepared with Risorgimento 5 liqueurs at Mulino di Zoppola is a unique experience, a journey through time that unites past and present. In that magical place, memories intertwine with modernity, creating an atmosphere in which tradition blends harmoniously with innovation.

Every glass raised is a tribute to the passion, art and love for liqueurs that Daniele Lecinni has poured into each bottle.
