Chardonnay is certainly one of the most widespread white grape varieties in the world and owes its name to the French town of the same name in the Burgundy region. Chardonnay Veneto IGT “Il tralcetto” 2023, is characterized by its young and fruity style that transmits in tasting its delicate, but persistent aromas of fresh fruit that first welcomes and then returns from the clayey soils on the banks of the Piave river. Sapidity and freshness combine with hints of ripe fruit, demonstrating an excellent complexity that ends with an aromatic finish. Excellent with fish dishes, both plain and with tomato, tortelli with butter and sage, as an aperitif with crudités or spicy mayonnaise. Serve at a temperature of 7/8° C, in very cold square glasses.

Land characteristics: Clayey soil of sedimentary-alluvial origin, Guyot training system, 4,000/5,000 plants per hectare, yield 85/110 q/ha.
Tasting notes: Straw yellow color with greenish reflections, delicate, elegant aroma, revealing notes of apple, banana and bread crust. Sapidity and freshness combine with hints of ripe fruit, demonstrating an excellent complexity that ends with an aromatic finish.
Serving temperature: 7°- 8° C, in very chilled square glasses.

Refinement: Permanent refinement on the noble lees in stainless steel tanks for 4 months. It ends with racking and filtration and a further 3-month refinement in the bottle before being put on the market.
Winemaking Notes: Starting from the destemming and pressing with immediate cooling on the skins using carbon dioxide, we proceed to soft pressing. Fermentation follows for 15 days at 12/14° C, before moving on to permanent refinement on the noble lees in stainless steel tanks for 4 months. It ends with racking and filtration and a further 3-month refinement in the bottle before being put on the market.
Yield per hectare: Yield 85-110 q/ha.
Harvest period: Entirely manual harvest in the last ten days of August.
Pairings: Fish dishes, both plain and with tomato, tortelli with butter and sage, as an aperitif with vegetables in crudités or spiced mayonnaise. Tradition: "risi e bisi" or “poenta e schie.”
