Description

A Cabernet with a strong sense of place, the result of a refined blend: 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on the volcanic hillsides of Colle Santa Lucia in Breganze. This is an intense and structured wine that fully expresses the richness and elegance of the Breganze DOC appellation. The two grape varieties are harvested separately at perfect ripeness and left to dry for 15 days, concentrating aromas and structure. After an 11-day maceration with frequent punch-downs and pump-overs, the wine is aged in stainless steel on fine lees and in second-use barriques for 6 to 12 months. It is then blended without aggressive filtration, preserving its complexity. Deep ruby in color, this Cabernet opens on the nose with aromas of small red berries, followed by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and enveloping, with silky tannins and a long finish. A wine with great aging potential, it can evolve beautifully in the bottle for 5–6 years. Thanks to its structure and aromatic complexity, it pairs perfectly with braised meats, flavorful red meats, roast kid, and aged cheeses. Best served at 16–18°C. An authentic expression of the Breganze terroir, it masterfully combines the power of Cabernet Sauvignon with the elegance of Cabernet Franc, achieving a perfect balance that reflects the history and tradition of the Firmino Miotti winery.
