Description

Limited selection of Veneto del Grappa DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil in half-litre bottles, all strictly hand-numbered and certified by a Control Body authorized by Mipaaf. In the 2022/23 agricultural year, two different packages were created, 100 examples with the prestige box, a wooden package to be removed from the top to be discovered and 320 bottles with the classic box.

The Oro de Pòe olive grove is located in Pove del Grappa, in a natural valley at the foot of Monte Grappa which is characterized by its mild and breezy climate, therefore relatively low in humidity. This is why it is called "Conca degli Olivi". From the centenary plants of the native "Frantoio Povese" variety, the olives were collected and selected which, when pressed in purity, gave this golden green extra virgin oil to the eye, intense in aroma, balanced on the palate.

The olive trees are treated by combining ancient traditional methods linked to the cycles of nature, with modern devices and techniques. All these characteristics make Oro de Pòe an oil full of personality. A unique oil, because the conditions in which it comes to life are unique. At our company, we dedicate great care and respect to the morphology and physiology of our olive trees.

We carry out targeted pruning to encourage "full-foliage arrangement", stimulating the alternation of branch production, an important characteristic of olive trees. We use organic-based fertilizers that strictly comply with the national P.A.N. regulations. for the integrated fight against olive tree diseases. We monitor the insects present in the olive grove using biological traps.

The olive grove is completely grassed and the stable lawn that surrounds it is enriched with aromatic essences which give our oil a characteristic fruity/herbaceous scent. At the beginning of September, we begin to evaluate the ripeness index of the olives based on the different varieties present in our olive grove. Based on these analyses, we decide the date and areas of the olive grove in which to start harvesting, which usually takes place in the second half of October.

The harvest takes place manually, with the help of manual facilitators, with full respect for the plants and their fruits. The intact and healthy olives are taken to the mill the same day, in order to minimize the interval between harvesting and pressing. We are committed to preserving the distinctive characteristics of our product. The milling takes place within a few hours of harvesting at an oil mill that uses a continuous cycle pressing system, in order to best preserve the exceptional organoleptic properties of the olives.

The stability of its characteristics, favored by a high presence of peroxides, and the abundance of polyphenols represent some of the main quality parameters of our extra virgin olive oil.
